About Kristin Krenzke

Kristin discovered CrossFit in 2013 when she moved to Maryland for graduate school. After playing sports all her life, including competitive diving and collegiate soccer and rugby, she knew she needed a physical outlet and an avenue to meet new people. CrossFit not only nurtured her athleticism, but gave her a supportive community and life-long friends. Inspired by the impact of her own experience, she began coaching in 2017, aiming to empower others to discover their inner strength and forge positive relationships with movement.
Her focus on strength sports, particularly powerlifting and strongman training, highlighted her love for personal growth and empowerment, especially among women in fitness. However, life took a turn when she became a new mom and relocated to Eldersburg during the pandemic. It was a friend’s suggestion that led her to Blackbird and their Barbell Club, where she found a new community and fell in love with the environment.
Kristin is excited to continue sharing the transformative power of fitness with our Blackbird community! You can find her 3 days a week coaching the 6:30am CrossFit class and Thursdays at 5pm and she will be assisting with Blackbird Barbell Club.
